Summary
Apeejay Infra-Logistics Private Limited, a joint venture between the tea and shipping conglomerate Apeejay Surrendra Group and Eredene, operates two logistics parks in Eastern India: Haldia Logistics Park in Haldia, West Bengal, and Kalinganagar Logistics Park, Orissa.
The logistics facility at Haldia, a petrochemical hub at the mouth of the Hooghly River and the main port for Kolkata, opened for storage business in October 2010 using a 60,000 sq ft hard stand area for iron ore customers. The 45-acre phase 1 includes three domestic warehouses of a total area of 96,000 sq ft, a bonded warehouse of 57,000 sq ft and a container yard of 288,000 sq ft, and is scheduled to be operational in early 2012.
The 90-acre site borders a National Highway and a State road, and is located seven kilometres from Haldia Port.
